Hello fellow YEL-ers! I've not posted here (in a while), and I thought this might be a great opportunity to do so. I very much enjoy reading all of your posts on this great city and how we can all work together to help it move forward and be at the place we all know we should be: ON TOP! So, on that topic, keep the posts coming, ask questions, demand answers, stay active!
Now, to my invite. In January I began a fitness program with a local trainer in town. It was labeled a "bootcamp" and lived up to the name. Since I began, I've lost anywhere from 70 to 85 pounds. It's been a lifestyle change to say the least, but one well worth it. I still eat wings and drink beer on Hog days and will even sneak in an occasional Papa's pizza (who can resist that???) I've learned how to eat, what to eat, when to eat, and WHY to eat. Seems simple enough, yes? To me, the best way to learn something even more is to teach it! So, that's what I would like to do. If I am to stay active and keep fit, I can't stop now. To do that, I need support from friends, family, and people with drive and determination to succeed. Who better to approach than the great people of YEL.
So, if you're interested, I'd love to show you've what I've learned. On Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 7pm, I will be on the riverfront for a 45 minute "bootcamp" It starts tonight (Sept 9) and will go through the end of October. Because I'm not "certified", there's obviously no cost for this. The satisfaction of knowing that I've helped others achieve their fitness goals is payment enough! If you want more info, call me, 479-561-0810 or e-mail, nickrham@yahoo.com. It's very informal; no need to even contact me...just show up, bring water, and prepare to sweat!
To those of you who think you are way too out of shape to even think about doing something like this, you're wrong! I will push you, but you go at your own pace. If you have to stop, STOP. It's up to YOU on what you take from this. If nothing else, it's yet another networking opportunity. Don't miss out!
DISCLAIMER: Rham Cunningham is not certified as a personal trainer. He is still considered a fat boy (in his genes and his jeans), so listen to him at your own risk. This class IS everyone: fat, skinny, fit, flabby, chunky, boney, short, or tall. If you do not fall into one of those categories, please consult your doctor for a body-type description. This class is strictly to educate you on how to get fit and stay that way. Take away from it what you will. If Rham's fat ass can do it, YOU CAN TOO!
awesome
Rham, as usual you crack me up. Especially the disclaimer!
For those of you who haven't seen Rham, he looks fabulous -- so proud of you! I applaud your committment and I wish I had that much will power. Maybe when the Celeb Classic is over I'll get out there with you!
