Facebook

I see a lot of YEL'rs on Facebook and suspecting that there are even more, I created a YEL group on Facebook. I used the full name "Young Emerging Leaders of the Greater Fort Smith Region (YEL)." (For those that search for the group - or you can go to my facebook page and it's listed under the groups I belong to). At this time there is no administrator, membership is not limited and I really just created it in an effort to get to know other members of YEL.

Having said that, I hope that it doesn't take any potential discussions away from this site to FB. In fact, perhaps this may be an opportunity to draw some discussions from FB postings back here to the YEL site - with a more community or regional view and approach.

I know that when I have time to review my RSS reader and come across a blog entry or article I find relevant or timely, I "facebook share." I believe that the YEL site and the blog entry option was created as a type of "facebook share" on a more local level - in order to open up discussions, facilitate networking, and connect all those that have since become active in YEL or the community.

So, join the group - and, if you need to, join Facebook - it's not complicated - you don't have to post a bunch of pictures, pick a background, music, etc.
