Why not us?

I think it's great that this area is finally getting some semi-professional sporting events. I encourage everyone to take their families for a brief car ride up I-540 to Springdale and enjoy a nice afternoon at a state of the art new minor league ballpark. While you're there be sure to swing by the Jones Center for some senior recreational activities and some family ice-skating. On your way out of town be sure to check out the All-Star Sports Complex where the youth of NWA are practicing soccer, baseball, volleyball and basketball year round in-doors.

Then on your way back down I-540 after you've donated your hard earned money into the Springdale economy, please ask yourself what is it going to take to get such wonderful quality-of-place amenities right here in Fort Smith.

Keep at it...

Keep asking. Keep demanding.

Since the day I was honored to become a YEL advisory member, I've been encouraging each of you to really, really make "us" establishment types mad. Please continue to be respectful -- like this -- but a little cynicism is good. Anger and frustration are great motivators.

Please don't give up on Fort Smith.

There's no point in having

There's no point in having hope in Ft Smith as long as the area is still run by the same old codgers and inside politics.

We moved to Ft Smith sight unseen to start a business. It's been a constand uphill battle because we didn't know anybody; people didn't want to deal with an outsider.

I'm so thankful to be an outsider in this town; my life would be ruined if I "fit in" around here. Anybody with me on that???
