Secrets Revealed: The Fine Art of Art & Wine Event

If you were not able to attend this event held at the Ft. Smith Town Club and Remy Fine Art...  you truly missed out.  I unfortunately missed the wine tasting and discussion.  However, I made it in time to listen to artist Megan Chapman, whose work was exhibited at Remy Fine Art at the Town Club through December and most of January.   Megan was wonderful.  She discussed her work, process, and what it entails to be a professional artist as well as the joys of collecting orginal art.  Her down to earth, engaging personality led to a very comfortable and informative discusion among the participants.  For additional information on Megan's work check out her web site at MeganChapman.com or RemyFineArt.com (portfolio page).

If you aren't already aware, Remy Fine Art exhibits different artist monthly at the gallery in the Town Club.  To be added to the mailing list you can email Jeanne Parham at jpar0513@aol.com. The first Thursday of each month there is a reception at the gallery in the Town Club, welcoming the featured artist.

This really was a fun event.

This really was a fun event. I had a great time.

FYI, Megan Chapman has a really cool blog about her art. She updates it every Friday. The entry from February 8th has been one of my favorites. She wrote about what inspires her. She even embedded YouTube clips of her musical inspirations.

Sorry it so long

Liberty, you are absolutely correct. The whole evening was great and those who did not attend missed lots of stuff IMHO.
