Two open committee positions with The Celebrity Classic

Hey gang! Due to some extenuating circumstances (new jobs, new cities, etc.) we have some open positions within our Planning Committee of the Celebrity Classic. Along with being responsible for your committee (as a chair or co-chair), you will also need to attend a monthly meeting (free lunch!). I have specific job descriptions for each chair/co-chair position if one peaks your interest. I must say, we have such a fun group of folks on our committee -- our meetings are informal but effective, we work well together, and together we will be reaching the $2,000,000 mark in total donations to charity! If you want to be a part of OPERATION: $2 MILLION, please consider one of these roles:Celebrity Recruitment Chair/co-chair: This committee is responsible for recruitment and coordination of our celebrity guests to Fort Smith. Very exciting and very important....includes some of our old favorites and getting new ones...local and national.  Fortunately most of our celebs are well-behaved and we promise NOT to invite Gary Busey back. :) We also need some new members on this committee.Auction Chair: We have a great committee that helps with the auction, but our chair had to resign due to some health issues. Last year was our first year to get all "Celebrity" items (i.e. Darren McFadden autographed football, items from Emmitt Smith, Toby Keith, Reba McEntire, Phil Mickleson, Arnold Palmer, the cast of Grey's Anatomy, and lots more!) We were able to raise an additional $10K off the auction last year. Need someone to coordinate soliciation of these items, setup and execution of auction. Already a good crew of helpers in place.We can always use help on some other committees and volunteers for the Spring Events:Survivor's Challenge: volunteers for traffic control Saturday morning, May 17th Publicity: with none other than Rham Cunningham! LOAD UP! (Both Spring and Fall PR)Signage: manpower to hang signs before and take down after events (both Spring and Fall)Site Support: logistics manpower for both Spring and Fall events**I would LOVE to get some new, young professionals involved in this event. I think you will really enjoy the people you will meet and the opportunities you will have to work with our committee and our charities.** THANK YOU!!
