Office Manager & Customer Care Coordinator, Fort Smith Symphony

The OFFICE MANAGER & CUSTOMER CARE COORDINATOR position at the Fort Smith Symphony performs day-to-day office management, financial bookkeeping and customer care. Administrative responsibilities include serving as office receptionist, providing customer service to patrons, managing single and subscription ticket sales and managing the box office on concert weekends. Financial duties include reconciling bank accounts, managing accounts receivable and accounts payable, providing monthly financial reports and maintaining accurate financial records. Other responsibilities include guest artist and musician management, staff and musician payroll, board meeting preparation and other duties as required.
This position reports to the Director of Development & Operations and works closely with the Music Director and Marketing Director. This position regularly assists other staff members on projects as needed.
A successful candidate should have:
A high school diploma (college degree preferred).
Three to five years experience in administrative, financial and/or customer service role preferred.
(Recent college graduates with degrees in business or a related field are welcome to apply.)
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
Excellent time-management and multi-tasking skills.
Competent writing skills.
Some financial bookkeeping or accounting experience requested.
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Access and QuickBooks® is preferred.
