Young Emerging Leaders

Leadership Fort Smith is currently acceptiing nominations for the 2008 class through May 31.  Nominations can be made online at www.leadershipfortsmith.com and self nominations are permitted.  The web site contains a great deal of information about the organization and its mission however much more detailed information about the program (including cost, participant commitment, session topics and schedules) will be sent to those who have been nominated.  There are only 25 people selected to participate in the program each year.  A great deal of effort is expended in the selection process to assure that a diverse mixture of people representing a cross section of the Greater Fort Smith Region are selected to participate.  Very qualified applicants may not be selected the first time that they apply therefore, previous applicants are encouraged to re-apply.   Ask anyone who has participated in this leadership program or others like it and they will all tell you that it was fun; it further developed their leadership skills; it challenged their thinking; it improved their perspective; and it brought them friends that they would not have met otherwise.  I was in the notorious class of 1997...still the best after all these years.  Maybe I will tell you some stories.
