As an affiliate of the Fort Smith Regional Chamber of Commerce, Young Emerging Leaders (YEL) assists in the recruitment and retention of young talented professionals in the Greater Fort Smith Region.

Mission/Vision/Purpose

YEL seeks to provide an outlet for networking, leadership development, and community involvement among the emerging professional demographic in the Greater Fort Smith Region.

History

Founded in 2006, YEL came to life as part of the TIP Strategies report to the Fort Smith Regional Chamber, which recommended the creation of a young professionals group as essential to the development of the area’s present professional talent pool and future community leadership.
With membership now topping 250, YEL hosts more than 20 events annually, including social gatherings and educational/professional development events.
